I have 22 years of teaching experience in the classroom and as a librarian. I student taught at Central High School in Beaumont in 1992-1993, taught English I and II at Klein Oak High School from 1993 to 1996, and then began teaching English I, II, and III (regular and Advanced Placement) at Dayton High School in '96. I served as English Department Chair for many years and became a Texas certified librarian in 2000. That following year, 2001, I began my librarian career here at DHS.
