The Dayton ISD Band Program has seen a rebirth in both quality and quantity.  Since 2014, the program has gone from approximately 250 to 650 students in grades 6-12.  Both the WWJH and DHS band programs have seen a record number of student successes in UIL Solo/Ensemble Contests.  The DHS Bronco Band has earned seven consecutive first-division ratings at UIL marching contest and has advanced four times to the UIL Area Marching Contest in 2021, 2019, 2017 and in 2015. The Dayton ISD band program had 4 junior school bands and 3 high school bands participate in the 2023 UIL concert/sightreading evaluation where all seven bands received unanimous first-division ratings.
