Chief Warrant Officer-3 Ron Tash was born on 1 November 1968, graduated from Riverton High School, Riverton, Kansas in 1987. He joined the delayed entry program in June 1986. He entered recruit training Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego on 21 May 1987.  Upon Graduation, Private First Class Tash reported to Engineer Equipment Instruction Course, Courthouse Bay, North Carolina.                    Chief Warrant Officer-3 Tash was designated a 1341, Engineer Equipment Mechanic graduating in November of 1987. Chief Warrant Officer-3 Tash received orders to 2nd Maintenance Battalion, General Support Maintenance Company, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where he was promoted to Lance Corporal and Corporal. 
                 In April of 1990, Corporal Tash was assigned to overseas duty and reported to 1st Armored Assault Battalion, Camp Schwab Okinawa Japan were he served as Engineer Chief for Headquarters and Service Company. In February 1991, he attended Non-Commissioned Officers Course aboard Camp Hansen Okinawa.
 In April of 1992, Corporal Tash returned to the United States and was assigned with Inspector and Instructor Staff, Marine Wing Support Squadron-471, Naval Air Station Millington, Tennessee.  His duties included Engineer Chief, and Platoon Sergeant. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in June 1992. Here is served as Toys for Tots Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC), Platoon Sergeant and Engineer Chief.
 In October of 1994, Sergeant Tash reported to Marine Air Control Squadron-24 Naval Air Station Fort Worth, Texas.   Here he served as Auxiliary Chief, S-4 Chief, Platoon Sergeant, Hazardous Materials NCOIC, and safety NCO. In November 1997 he was promoted to Staff Sergeant, and assigned the additional duty of Toys for Tots Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (SNCOIC) and event coordinator for the Squadron.
In June 1998, Staff Sergeant Tash received orders to 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Force Service Support Group Okinawa Japan. Here he served in the billets of Engineer Equipment Floor Chief, Maintenance Chief, Platoon Sergeant, and Quality Control SNCOIC. He participated as the Engineer Chief and S-4 Chief for Engineer Humanitarian Exercise (INDUSA) in Karong Tekok, Indonesia during August and September 1998. Additionally, he attended Staff Non-Commissioned Officer Career Course in January 1999. In February 2001, he received Permanent Change of Assignment Orders to Engineer Maintenance Company, 3rd Material Readiness Battalion and served as Engineer Platoon Commander. He was selected for appointment to the rank of Warrant Officer and promoted in February 2002.
Upon completion of the Warrant Officer Basic Course in Quantico, Virginia, and Engineer Equipment Officers Course, Ft. Leonardwood, Missouri, Warrant Officer Tash was assigned to 7th Communication Battalion, III MEF Headquarters Group Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan.   He was promoted to CWO-2 in August of 2003 and continued to serve as Platoon Commander for Engineer Platoon, Service Company until June of 2004.  During this time, he participated and deployed to the Philippines for exercise Balikatan and exercise Crocodile in Australia.
  In June 2004 Chief Warrant Officer-2 Tash was transferred to Marine Wing Support Squadron-371, Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona to serve as the Engineer and Motor Transport Platoon Commander.  In February 2005 he deployed to Al Taqqadum, Iraq as the Maintenance Platoon Commander and again in February 2007 as the Squadron Maintenance Management Officer in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He was promoted to Chief Warrant Officer-3 in August 2006.
In July 2007 Chief Warrant Officer-3 Tash received orders to Combat Logistics Company-21, Cherry Point, North Carolina. Here he served as Engineer Platoon Commander and Maintenance Management Officer. In September 2007, he was selected by name for deployment with Combat Logistics Battalion-6 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom at Al Asad, Iraq where he served as the Battalion Maintenance Management Officer. In October 2008, Chief Warrant Officer-3 Tash returned to Combat Logistics Company-21 and served as the Company Executive Officer.
In August 2009, Chief Warrant Officer-3 Tash retired after 22 years of active service. Upon retiring, he moved to his home state of Kansas to help his father manage the family business. In 2010, Chief Warrant Officer-3 Tash accepted a position as Quality Engineer/Process Control Analyst position with Honeywell International Technology Systems (HTSI) in support of the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program, Blount Island Jacksonville, Florida. Additionally, Chief Warrant Officer-3 Tash accepted assignment with HTSI as part of the Redeployment, Retrograde, Reset, and Reconstitute (R4), as the wash-down and maintenance manager. He was responsible for more than 70 employees in the operation of R4.
 In September 2012 to May 2014, Chief Warrant Officer-3 Tash accepted a position with A. Harold & Associates as a Logistics Analyst/Equipment Specialist working directly with Blount Island Command and the Marine Expeditionary Unit Augmentation Program (MAP)-Kuwait. Here he deals directly with Headquarters Marine Corps Systems Command, Marine Corps Central Command, and Marine Corps Logistics Command to provide uninterrupted equipment and logistical support for the MAP.
Chief Warrant Officer-3 Tash’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 gold stars), Navy And Marine Corps Achievement Medal (1 gold star), Navy Unit Commendation, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (3 bronze stars), National Defense Service Medal (1 bronze star), Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.
Chief Warrant Officer-3 Tash officially retired from the Marine Corps on 31 August, 2009.
