Coach Ware (HC)

Head Football Coach Blake Ware is in his 4 th year with the Dayton Broncos and 28 th year of
coaching overall. During Coach Ware’s career he has spent 12 seasons as a head coach and 14

seasons as an offensive coordinator.
From humble beginnings, the Broncos have steadily improved since Coach Ware’s arrival in 2020.
In 2022 the Broncos made the playoffs for the first time since 2015.
Before coming to Dayton, Coach Ware served as the Offensive Coordinator at New Caney High
School. During his six years at New Caney, the Eagles were consistent leaders in yards and scoring
at the district, regional, and state levels. The Eagles won four straight district championships and
also won the first playoff games in school history.
Before arriving in New Caney, Coach Ware had three stops as a Head Football Coach. From 2005
– 2009 he was the Head Coach at Greenhill School in the Dallas area. While at Greenhill, their
offense led the nation in passing yards per game with 384.5 in 2008. After leaving Greenhill, Coach
Ware became the Head Coach in The Woodlands Christian Academy for one season. During the
2010 season, The Woodlands Christian Academy improved by 6 wins, were state semifinalists, and
their quarterback led the state with 58 passing touchdowns. In 2011, Coach Ware accepted the
Head Football position at St. Pius X High School. While at St. Pius, Coach Ware was one of sixteen
coaches selected to coach in the Under Armour All American game in Orlando, Fla in 2012. Coach
Ware was twice selected as a finalist for the Touchdown Club of Houston Coach of the Year award
in 2012 and 2013.
Before becoming a Head Football Coach, Coach Ware spent eight years as the Offensive
Coordinator at St. Pius X High School. During his time at St. Pius, the Panthers played in three
state championship games. St. Pius won the state championship in 1999. Coach Ware’s first year
of coaching was in 1996 at St. Thomas High School as a freshman coach.
Coach Ware is married to his wife, Trina, of 26 years. They have three wonderful kids, Timmy,
Averie, and Alana. Coach Ware and Trina have also just became Grand Parents with arrival of
their Grand Son Atlas Blake.
